The Alliance is seeking a user design expert to support the development of a new web-based toolkit to be launched in March 2023. The consultant will establish the hierarchy of information, translate the project tools into designs that address the needs of users coming to the toolkit webpages, and ensure that the toolkit is easily useable and understandable and adds value to the users’ work, making it desirable.
The user design expert should have an extensive track-record in working with clients to make complex products accessible, usable, and attractive for non-technical users and in defining the user journey and the visual elements to achieve that.
The Accountability Toolkit is a collection of tools to support NGOs to advocate with their governments for evidence-based road safety interventions that will enable them to halve road deaths and injuries by 2030 as per SDG 3.6 and the Decade of Action for Road Safety 2021-2030. These tools will be hosted on a microsite within the Alliance’s website. The toolkit includes:
Each intervention will have its own page with sections for description of the intervention, successful examples of where it has worked, linkages to show what global mandates the intervention achieves, and talking points that NGOs can use to convince their government decision makers to adopt the interventions
It is anticipated that users should be able to save their accountability checklist, government to do list, and advocacy and accountability tracker data using the Alliance’s membership database and would have a dashboard to view and update their accountability data.
The primary audience for the toolkit is the Alliance’s 300 members in 100 countries around the world seeking to support achievement of SDG 3.6 by advocating with their governments for evidence-based road safety interventions.
Immediate start required with deliverables needed by end of December 2022.
Proposals should include fees and workplan and be submitted to email@example.com by 17:00 CET Thursday 1 December 2022.
