Rochelle Sobel is the founder and President of the Association for Safe International Road Travel (ASIRT), founded in response to her son Aron’s death in a 1995 bus crash in Turkey.
A crash survivor and passionately committed road safety advocate, administrator, educationist, researcher, consultant, policy shaper, community mobilizer and a post-crash care expert.
Gela Kvashilava has over a decade of professional experience in road safety and sustainable transport issues. In 2006, he founded Partnership for Road Safety (PfRS), which promotes road safety and sustainable mobility in Georgia.
Dr. Kulanthayan KC Mani is a professer at the Department of Community Health, Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences, Universiti Putra Malaysia (UPM)
Manuel João Ramos is Associate Professor with tenure at the Dept. of Anthropology and Senior Researcher of the Centre of International Studies, at ISCTE,University Institute of Lisbon, Portugal.
Lotte Brondum joined the Secretariat in 2014 as the Alliance’s first employee. She has been instrumental in facilitating road safety NGOs’ voice, participation and contribution to the global road safety targets.
Valeria Motta is responsible for the Alliance’s policy and accountability work and advocacy campaigns. Her role also encompasses strategic engagement and partnerships, as well as managing projects including the Global Meeting and representing the Alliance.
Patrick Kinyanjui joined the Secretariat in 2017. He is responsible for program management and monitoring and evaluating of capacity building initiatives, supporting decision making, strategic planning and service delivery.
Nguyen Thi Nhu Ngu is responsible for various financial aspects of the Alliance, including performing the monthly financial accounting, managing donor contributions and funding disbursement, and supporting the budget planning and financial reporting processes.
Liz Man’s role covers all aspects of the Alliance’s communications including publications, web, media, social media, newsletter, and member communications, as well as messaging and the communications and mobilization aspects of campaigns.
Otuto Amarauche Chukwu joined the Alliance Secretariat in October 2021 as the Program Assistant for the Africa Chapter. He assists the Alliance with programmatic and administrative tasks including member management, communication, advocacy, research, and report writing.
