World Day of Remembrance 2021

World Day of Remembrance 2021 was commemorated on 21 November 2021 and was marked by online and in person events around the world.

Aligned to the theme of remember – support – act, the Alliance relaunched the video from its Peoples Survey which highlighted the human cost of inaction on road safety. It found that 87% of respondents knew someone who had been killed as a result of a crash and 95% knew someone who had been injured. Read more HERE and see the video below.

Alliance members took part in several global events for World Day of Remembrance including WHO’s official commemoration, where Peter Fraser, SARAH, was among the testimonies, and the Global Road Safety Facility’s webinar featuring Lotte Brondum, Monica Dongban, KRSD Trust and Prerana Arora, Peoples Trust Jaipur.
