PRESS RELEASE: Alliance Annual Report released today

27 June 2025
Today, we are delighted to share our 2024 Annual Report, presenting key milestones from the past year. Through coordinated tools, targeted capacity building, and collective advocacy, we continue to equip our 400-plus NGO members in more than 100 countries to hold their governments accountable for a 50% reduction in traffic deaths by 2030.

Among the highlights in the report is the launch of the Mobility Snapshots, a community-level data collection initiative. Through them, NGOs generated powerful insights into the realities of people’s daily journeys and used these to engage decision-makers and advocate for safer mobility. As part of its commitment to regional coordination, the Alliance convened the First Latin American Regional Meeting of the Global Alliance of NGOs for Road Safety, reinforcing cross-country collaboration and amplifying the voice of NGOs in the region. The report also features milestones for the Accountability Toolkit, which received the Prince Michael International Road Safety Award, was translated into Spanish, and supported advocacy efforts in more than 30 countries.

Lotte Brondum, the Alliance’s Executive Director said, “The achievements highlighted in this report are not isolated activities. They are the result of deliberate strategy, close collaboration, and a commitment to safe mobility. By strengthening local action, amplifying the voices of NGOs, and equipping them to keep their governments accountable, we are building a global movement; one that puts people at the center and demands systemic change to save lives on our roads.”

The Alliance’s 2024 activities were made possible thanks to the generous support of our sponsors and partners, including FIA Foundation, Fundación Aleatica, Hasselt University, Michelin, TotalEnergies Foundation, TransSafe, and Uber. We thank them for their continued partnership and investment in empowering civil society.
