Marianelly Díaz Medrano leads the communications strategy of the Global Alliance of NGOs for Road Safety, strengthening the Alliance’s voice, visibility, and engagement with members, partners, and global decision-makers.
She brings over 12 years of experience in strategic communications, advocacy, and partnerships across international cooperation, civil society, and the private sector. Before rejoining the Alliance, Marianelly served as Communications Advisor for Fundraising and Partnerships with the United Nations Road Safety Fund, where she led donor-facing communications, coordinated high-level events and report launches, managed digital platforms, and supervised creative and communications teams.
Marianelly previously supported the Alliance in 2023, contributing to the development and launch of its 2024–2030 Strategic Plan. Her earlier experience includes designing and implementing communication strategies for development projects with GIZ and partners, as well as leading brand and campaign work in the private sector.
She holds a Master’s degree in Governance and Development from the University of Antwerp and a Bachelor’s degree in Communication.
She is currently based in Antwerp, Belgium.
