Road Safety NGOs Featured in Journal

“There is an urgent need for support to ensure that road safety NGOs are still standing after the current crisis and long-term strategies to strengthen NGOs and the road safety agenda.”

This was one of the key messages of a blog written by the Alliance with help from Margie Peden, George Institute for Global Health, for the Injury and Prevention journal. It was based on online consultations held with Alliance members at the beginning of the COVID-19 pandemic. 

The article raises the concerns of NGOs about how funding cuts for NGOs’ work and loss of focus on road safety may have long term impacts for both NGOs and for the global road safety agenda. Read the article HERE.
